The United Select Soccer Association is a competitive soccer club supported by Dynamo Soccer. USSA plays traveling teams in the southern suburban area.

Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
June 19,2006 Bourbonnais Library

Attendance:  Vernette Karnes, Jeff Gindy, Ed Smith, Kurt Karnes, John Hall, Mark Goldfain, William Smierciak, Sarah Powers, Mike Patterson, Ben Smith, and Scott Kyrouac

Visitors: None

Ed called the meeting to order at 6:20

Ed questioned if there were any corrections to the meeting. Mark motioned to accept the minutes.  William seconded.  Passed.

Officer Reports:

A.     President- Nothing to report.

B.     Vice President- We have permission from Coach Rohan to use the sophmore field for Dynamo practices.  We can only use for the 6:00 time slot.

C.     Secretary- Nothing to report.

D.   Treasurer- See Treasurer report.  Vernette motioned to accept the treasurer report.  Ben seconded. Passed.  Mark passed out a copy of the results of the audit.  The board members will review and bring any questions to the next meeting.  Mark advised that we need to do a form 1023 once and then we can do annual the Federal 990 that is due on May 15^th along with the IL 990.  The auditor requested an extension for Dynamo.

E.   Parent Representative- Nothing to report.

Committee Reports:

A.   Fields and Grounds- Fertilizer should be done.  Jeff will send letter to Friendship Festival Committee regarding firework clean up.  This season we will add a loading and unloading zone next to the building.

Greg is going to order paint.  The workday will be on July 8^th at 8:00 am.

Greg will contact Kirk to make sure USSA doesn’t take down the nets.

We will also look in to either using stakes and ropes or parking blocks to help direct traffic for more consistent parking.

Ed will check to see if we can use softball tractor.

Greg will get garbage bags.

B.   Sponsors- We currently have 63 sponsors.  If we don’t have the additional sponsors by uniform turn in then we will use additional Village of Bourbonnais teams due to their $1000.00 donation. 

C.   Fundraising- Uniroyal set for soccer ball give away and fundraiser. 

D.   Concessions- It was suggested that we contact Sweet Street on candy costs for the concession stand.

E.   Equipment- Nothing to report.

F.    Coaching- 58 kids signed for the Challenger camp. The 3 coaches will be arriving June 25^th at 6:00.  On Monday the 26^th kids will be arriving from 8:30 – 9:00 and 12:30 to 1:00.

G.  Schedules- Vernette is working on the schedule.  Please email her with any schedule requests.

H.   Pictures-  Nothing to report.

I.       Building-  Everything is on at the building.  We need to find out where the repair spot is for the plumbing.

Brent is checking on demand meter.

J.     Draft-. Vernette will check with Say on what we get.

K.    Publicity- The Herald missed an advertisement.  Dynamo should not be charged.  Jeff and Mark will double check.

L.    Referee in Chief- Tammy has sent recruiting letters.

M. Risk Management- Nothing to report.

N.   Special Projects-Nothing to report.

Dynamo met with OAK.  There will be a tent set up in the center of the complex for them.  We will have walkie-talkies.

Ed will contact the contractor doing work south of the fields.
