Dynamo Soccer Association Attendance: Vernette Karnes, Ed Smith, Kerry O’Connell, Kelli Wadley, Brian Rogers, Dave Diveley, and John Krincek Ed called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm. No changes to the June 24th meeting minutes need to be made. John motioned to accept minutes and Dave seconded. Minutes accepted. Officer Reports: A. President- Nothing to report. B. Vice President- Nothing to report. C. Secretary- Nothing to report. D. Treasurer- No report E. Parent Representative- Nothing to report. Committee Reports: A. Fields/Grounds- Garbage can lids have been ordered for $39.95 each. 16 were ordered. Kirk is lining fields. He received a bid from Ron Payne to remove the clover from the Dynamo and high school fields. The bid was for $880.00. Kelly made the motion to accept bid. Vernette seconded. Dave will get the plastic orange fence for along road. B. Sponsors- Out of 67 teams, only 5 teams still need sponsors. C. Fundraising- Dave investigated the company that offered to sell products with Dynamo logo (aftergamewear.com). He proposes that Dynamo not utilize this company due to lack of variety in product. Another proposal from Uniroyal and Farm & Fleet. They will give us 950 certificates. The first 150 returned would receive a free soccer ball. Everyone (including first 150) would receive $40.00 coupon toward complete set of tires. Dynamo would get $2.00 for every set of tires bought. Split the pot will not be done this year due to finances and the need for permits. D.
Concessions- Dynamo
needs 2 6’ tables for the concession area.
Brian will get them. E. Equipment- John picked up the extra bags and balls. John said we need to label game balls. We received 2 1x goalie jerseys instead of size 2x. Acton Sports returned the 1x jerseys and reordered the 2x. Players can use their own goalie jersey if it is a different color from the jerseys on the field. There are approximately 40 sweatshirts and 50 t-shirts with Dynamo. John will email Doug with the dates that Play it Again sports will be at the field to sell equipment. John will send out for bids for trophies. F. Coaching- Still missing a coach for the 8/9 year old. Ed will look into and coach this team if necessary. Time for coaches’ clinic 7:45 to 9:45. G. Pictures- Nothing to report. H. Draft- 825 kids have registered to date. I. Publicity- Jeff asked if the rules will be the same as last year. They will so changes need to be made. J. Buildings- The IYSA board has been put up. We need to send a thank you note to the USSA for the board. Keys need to be made for the building for the new board members and for any board members that does not have keys. It will cost $500.00 to replace water fountain. Ed also mentioned that some heat remain on next winter to prevent pipes from freezing. It was suggested that the display case have plexi glass installed and moved to the front to display the trophies. Coaches’ room and bulletin board need to be done. Lost in found needs to be placed in coaches’ room. K. Referee- The referee jerseys have been ordered. He proposes giving the jerseys to referees that do not have them that commit to refereeing 5 days. He also reminded that all prospective referees need to attend one weekend of the referee clinic. 7 referees have been confirmed. L. Risk Management- No report. Tickler File/Updates- No report
Old Business None. New Business John suggested that a Dynamo flag be designed and displayed. He will check into the cost. Dave will replace the American flag. The tracter needs to be serviced. Kelly motioned to adjourn the meeting. Dave seconded. Meeting adjourned at 8:05. Next meeting will be August 4th, 6:30 at Dynamo fields. |
