Dynamo Soccer Association Attendance: Jeff Gindy, Kirk Malmer, Vernette Karnes, Ed Smith, Kerry O’Connell, Kelli Wadley, Doug Wadley, Donna Harris, Brian Rogers, Mary Ann Bicknell, Dave Diveley, and John Krincek Ed called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm. No changes to the June 2nd meeting minutes need to be made. Kerry motioned to accept minutes and Kelly seconded. Minutes accepted. Officer Reports: A. President- Nothing to report. B. Vice President- Nothing to report. C. Secretary- Nothing to report. D. Treasurer- No report, but approximately $60.000.00 in bank. E. Parent Representative- Nothing to report. Committee Reports: A. Fields/Grounds- Only half of the field was mowed because half of the field did not need to it. They will only charge half for this mowing. Kirk sent out bids for railroad ties. He will also look into gravel for the front parking lot. The field layout has been determined and numbered. They are age 10/11 = field 1, age 12/14 = field 2, age 6/7 = field 3 and 6, age 8/9 = field 4 and 5, age 5 = field 7 2 Porta potties will be placed. One handicapped by the building, the other by the 5 year old field. Dave received prices for 55-gallon dome trashcan lids, for $50.00 each. Ed will check to see we he can get cheaper. Dynamo would like to buy 16. Field set up day will be July 12th at 8:00 am. B. Sponsors- Out of 67 teams, 39 sponsors have paid. Brian still has additional sponsors coming in from letter he sent. C. Fundraising- Dave sent letters for outstanding fundraiser from last year. Proposal of equipment company (aftergamewear.com) to sell products with our logo free to us. Dynamo would just need to post the company’s website on our website. Dave will purse for more information and prices. D.
Concessions- Nothing to report. E. Equipment- Equipment inventory: Goalie Jerseys: 35 in sizes from YS to AXXL Field Flags: 24, The park district currently has 12 or ours. Equipment Bags: 50 Practice Balls: Size 3 – 53, Size 4 – 55, Size 5 – 20 Game Balls: One complete set New Balls: 3 size 3, 5 size 4, and
12 size 5 balls. John suggests that Dynamo purchase
2 xxl Goalie Jerseys, 10 equipment bags, 4 size 3 practice balls, 8 size 4
practice balls, and 3 sets of game balls. John
also suggested purchasing 6 orange cones per team or 402 cones.
After discussion Kelli motioned to purchase the equipment minus the cones
and Mary Ann seconded. The jerseys,
bags and balls will be purchased. Jerseys were ordered for the 2003 season. The total bill is $13552.55 for 904 jerseys and 132 pairs of socks (12/14 age group). Action sports has requested 50% deposit down and balance upon receipt. This is the same as last year although the board decided to pay up front last year. Each team has one additional
jersey ordered, with the exception of the 5 year olds who has 2 additional
jerseys ordered per team. In
addition 4 teams per age group will have 2 additional jerseys in the case of
sibling set joining late. Action sports will need sponsors and logos by July 11th, targeting an August 1st distribution date. F. Coaching- Still missing coaches. Dynamo needs 3 for 5 year olds, 3 for 8/9 year olds, and 2 for 12/14 year olds. Tentative time for coaches’ clinic 7:45 to 9:45. G. Pictures- A suggestion was made to be sure the 10/11 team with a bye is still aware of picture day. Vernette will schedule their pictures around 10:00 if possible. H. Draft- Rosters are being completed and will be distributed July 10th along with equipment. I. Publicity- Jeff reminded that we will need to renew Dynamosoccer.org domain name. The fee will charge to Jeff’s card and he will get reimbursed. J. Buildings- The IYSA board will be put up before practices. Jeff G. will ask Jeff J. to check on deflectors for lights and gravel for inside of building. Brian will get a filing cabinet. K. Referee- Brian asked when checks need to be made for referees. Kerry reported that he will have referee game and pay information to Brian by the Tuesday after the game so that Brian can have the checks ready for Kerry by the following Saturday morning. Kerry will also gather total number of referees to determine if Dynamo will buy referee jerseys. The proposed jerseys would be around $18.00 each and would be the common type of black with white pinstripe in front. L. Risk Management- No report. M. Tickler File/Updates- July- update coaches mail box list and post in coaches’ room. July- contact Play-it-Again sports and make arrangements for setting the dates for the on-field store we’d discussed earlier in the year. Old Business None. New Business Draft of schedule distributed for review. Kelli suggested the 3rd weeknight games (for 10/11 group) to be moved to September 8th, 9th, and 10th. Lost and Found – reminder to coaches and players to label all equipment. Kelly motioned to adjourn the meeting. John seconded. Meeting adjourned at 8:24. Next meeting will be July 7th, 6:30 at Brian’s office. |
