Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

June 24, 2002 6:30 p.m. at Barnes & Noble

Attendance: Kirk Malmer, Kelli Wadley, Ed Smith, Doug Wadley, Tammy Malmer, Barb McGuiness, Kerry O’Connell, and John Krincek

Committee Reports:

Grounds— Garbage is to be emptied 6/25 from the dumpster that we are trying to get rid of. Need the remaining dumpster to have a lid and lock to prevent other from using it. Eubanks repaired a broken sewer tile for a cost of $775.

Equipment— All shirts have been ordered through Action Sports. Logos are due on July 10th so they can start screening. Total cost is $9534, we paid 50% ($4767) when the order was placed. Balls and other equipment will be ordered at a later date.

Coaches—July 10th will be roster distribution at the building. Clinic plans will be finalized by then.

Registration—781 registrations to date. Data is being entered so that rosters can be printed. Still need 5-6 coaches.

Publicity—No report.

Sponsors— 57 of 62 are filled. Only 18 sponsors unpaid to date.

Fundraising—No report.

Concessions— Barb has completed the certification course and will post her certificate in the concession stand. Only persons 15 years and older will be allowed to work in the concession stand. Barb will post a list for volunteers.

Team Parents—No report.

Referees—Letters will be sent by Friday 6/28 to all past referees. Clinics are set for 7/27 and 8/3 from 8-10 am.

Pictures—No report.

Building—Doug reported that Jeff is working on the repairs necessary in the boys’ bathroom. There was a leak around the flashing of the vent. BBCHS is working on finishing their portion of the building.

New Business:

-John Krincek will be an apprentice to Kirk this year working with the equipment. Next year John will take over this area.

Old Business

-Kelli contacted the family requesting to have their child play down and informed of the boards decision from the June 3rd meeting.
