Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
April 29, 2002 at Barnes and Noble, 6:30 p.m.
Attendance: Kirk Malmer, Kelli Wadley, Ed Smith, Barb McGuiness, Kerry O’Connell, and Dave Diveley
Guests: John Krincek, Mayor Bob Latham
Special Presentation: Mayor Latham presented Dynamo a check for $1,000 from the Community Fund.
Committee Reports:
A.     Grounds— Official grant went out-upped request from $15,000 to $35,000 to include lines for water fountains at the fields
-Kirk made a motion to spend $250 for 22 tons of gravel from Ron Payne. It will be dumped and spread for that price. Kerry seconded—motion passed.
-Kirk announced that Robert Larkins is doing the mowing for $300. We will bid it out again next year.
-Kirk stated he only has 8-10 cases of paint left and he needs more. He made a motion to purchase 40 cases at $39.20 a case direct from the factory. County West will purchase 10 cases from us. USSA will also use some. Kirk made the motion and Dave seconded. Motion passed.
B.     Equipment— Kirk made a motion to purchase the trophies from Advertising Concepts with the marble base and dual figure for $2.98 and free shipping. Dave seconded. Motion passed.
C.     Coaches—No report.
D.    Registration— Second registration this weekend. First weekend we registered 99 on Friday and 145 on Saturday.
E.      Publicity—Herald ad incorrectly stated Friday registration from 3:00-6:00 instead of 6:00-9:00.
-Dave will approach Target about buying advertising space on the kickboard.
F.      Sponsors— No report.
G.     Fundraising—All set to go. 8 books were sold at registration.
H.     Concessions—Barb is meeting the Coke man on 4/30 to fill machine outside of building.
I.        Team Parents—Nothing to report.
J.       Referees—Clinic flyers will go out the end of May.
K.    Pictures—No report.
L.      Building—Jeff needs to contact Mark Sutton about looking at the building.

E.      President-Called IYSA to find out specifics about which violations are covered—basically no clear cut guidelines—evaluate on a case by case basis.
-Ed will complete paper to be affiliated with BTPD-that will give us $1,000-$2,000
-Ed will follow up at Bank of Bourbonnais—we completed a loan application for $20,000
