Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
July 15, 2002 6:30 p.m. at Barnes & Noble
Attendance: Kelli Wadley, Ed
Smith, Jeff Gindy, Kerry O’Connell, John Krincek, Barb McGuiness, and Dave
Diveley
Committee Reports:
A.
Grounds— No report.
B. Equipment—
Goals, flags, and anchors have been returned from the park district.
-Shirts are ordered and should be in the first week of August.
-Kirk and John will receive the new practice balls, bags, and goalie jerseys by
the end of the week.
-Equipment will be handed out on the 20th at the clinic.
-Bids have been requested from 4 vendors for game balls.
C.
Coaches—Rosters have
been distributed. We have one more team
to schedule for a practice time.
-Coaching slots are filled with the exception of one.
-Clinic reminder will be sent out this week.
-Need a goal moved to the kickboard area as teams will be using this for
practice.
-Will request Dennis Baron to look over medical release form so we can
distribute it to the coaches before the first practice.
D.
Registration—784 kids at the
present time.
E.
Publicity—No report.
F.
Sponsors— All teams are
covered now.
G.
Fundraising—Kerry O.
will donate a cap and a shirt from the World Cup to be raffled at Dynamo.
H.
Concessions— Barb will work
with Marla and the team parents to schedule concessions
-Coke is donating a price board for the concession stand.
-Barb will also run split the pot raffles each week.
-Sam’s Club offers a $30 organization membership and we can get a revolving
charge account for $15/year. We can list who we want as primary user and the
bill comes to the organization. Looks like this is the way we will go.

Referees—Discussion took
place on whether to have offsides in the 6/7 division. It was determined that
offsides will remain in effect at this level.
K. Pictures—Shabbona
is the back-up site in case of rain.
L.
Building—Clean up day was
set for 8/3 from 10-noon.

Old Business:
-Jeff Gindy spoke with Little League and they are checking with their
insurance to see how the defibrillator is covered.
New Business:
-Jeff Gindy presented a make up game policy that states: “Rained out
Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday games can be made up by mutual agreement of the
participating team coaches. Coaches will make sure a field is available by
conferring with the appropriate age level practice schedule; a time shall be
set, and the referee in chief shall be called to set up referees for the game.
No games are to be rescheduled for Sundays. The association will reschedule
Saturday cancellations after the second rainout. Only the first rainout will be
rescheduled.” Kelli made a motion to accept the policy and Dave seconded.
Motion passed.

Dynamo Fields
In attendance:
Ed, Jeff J.,Jeff G., Dave, Kerry and Barb.
-Jeff J. will contact Service Master to set up a cleaning schedule for the
bathrooms at $60.00 per week. Will have to give Service Master a key to
bathrooms and light switch still has to be moved. May place an announcement in
the newsletter to see if there was someone else that might want to do it.
-Aug 3rd Clean up day. Jeff J. and
Dave will install tables and seal doors and paint. Jeff J. says water on but
lights in men’s room still not repaired.
-Board member days taken: Jeff G.

Dave 9/21.
-Barb has bill for $35.00 for her health cert. Received 98% on her test.
-Talked to Coach Bahr at ONU and asked about golf cart. Maybe borrow one of the
Bears since they have 50 and they won’t be using them when we need one. He was
not sure but told me to contact Gary Griffin. Bill also would he help with a
clinic if we would like to use him in the future.
